New Entrant
Domestic Gas Diploma

This course is a ‘Managed Learning Programme’ for new Gas Entrants into the Gas industry. The full duration of the Domestic Gas Diploma will equate to 30 full days training within the training centre, plus home study. This is a full attendance course, therefore breaks are incorporated within the training schedule.

You will then undertake, CCN1 (Core Gas), CENWAT (Boilers) & CKR1 (Cookers) Training and Assessments, all of which are included within the cost.

You will need to complete a Portfolio of Work with a qualified Gas Safe registered Engineer who will sign off your work. You will need arrange this yourself.

Once this has been arranged you will then need to come in for a technical interview, (initial advice and guidance) collect your portfolio and pay a deposit of £300.

The full cost of the course is £5,200 + VAT (we do have a payment plan which means you can spread the cost over the 10 months duration of the course) and you must have full attendance.


Extra Appliances
(HTR1) Fires etc you will need to book them at the same time otherwise you will have to wait until you have been Gas Safe Registered for 12 months and will have to prove you have been working on these appliances.

The cost for these will be:
£265 + VAT for Training/Assessment per Appliance

Please note it takes around 11 months by the time you have completed all your training and assessments. We do not offer a ‘Fast Track’ course into the gas industry.
The Cert-ain Certification Ltd. Managed Learning Program Gas Diploma is recognised by the gas industry under the IGEM/IG/1 standard.

Unvented Hot Water (UHWSS)

A short course encompassing an introduction to Unvented hot water systems along with basic first principles.

Water Regulations (WREGS)

A short course enabling operatives to understand and interpret water supply (water fittings) regulations and comply with the relevant legislation.

Energy Efficiency (EEDH)

A short course aimed at both experienced and new installers covering a range of topics, including the new building regulations, climate change and High Efficiency Condensing boilers.

CCN1 Refresher Course

ACS CCN1 refresher course for experienced Gas Safe Engineers.

Air Source Heat Pumps installer Training & Assessment

The Air Source heat pump course is specifically aimed at existing fossil fuel plumbing and heating engineers and giving them the necessary training to upskill their existing skills to install air source heat pumps.

LPG PD/LAV/RPH

Our customers who wish to work on LPG also work with natural gas.  The generic changeover training and assessment follows successful completion of CCN1 and provides them with certificates of competency for both types of gas.
